Quality Manager

About the role

Corning is seeking a Quality Manager to ensure that plant products meet customer requirements and maintain an up‑to‑date Quality Control system. The role will collaborate with commercial teams, innovation groups and process improvement teams to translate requirements into specifications and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage plant quality systems (including ISO documentation, records retention) and quality personnel.
• Respond quickly to customer complaints and act as the customer advocate within the plant.
• Collaborate with innovation and division teams to evaluate new product needs and translate them into plant specifications.
• Identify and define all required measurement protocols.
• Work with process and product improvement teams to develop control strategies and feedback loops for key product attributes.
• Continuously improve quality function spending to help lower plant costs.
• Manage department budgets and spending.
• Determine yield and financial impact of proposed changes in product specifications.
• Lead project teams to resolve and permanently fix customer complaints.
• Perform process capability analysis as needed.
• Provide statistical design and analysis services to internal plant departments.

Required profile

• Experience managing plant quality systems.
• Ability to respond effectively to customer complaints.
• Proven collaboration with cross‑functional teams (commercial, innovation, process improvement).
