Quality Manager – Lead Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

About the role
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance. Reporting to senior management, this role has the authority to halt production when risks or non‑conformities are identified.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all activities of the Quality Department, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Maintain compliance with international standards, customer‑specific requirements, and internal policies.
- Monitor customer satisfaction through performance metrics related to quality, productivity, and delivery.
- Identify, document, assess, and control risks impacting product quality, process performance, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Facilitate Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management System meetings and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Lead problem‑solving and preventive‑action projects tied to key quality performance indicators.
- Coordinate cross‑functional resources to meet QMS, SMS, and EMS requirements.
- Develop and deliver training on Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
- Maintain QMS documentation, audit outsourced processes, and manage supplier evaluations.
- Oversee incoming and final inspections, issue certificates based on metallurgical data, and promote 5S, safety, and environmental initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience in quality management within an industrial or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of international quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience in risk analysis, audit management, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
- Capability to develop and deliver training programs.
Required skills
- Understanding of ISO quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Safety standards.
- Experience with 5S and lean manufacturing tools.
- Competence in metallurgical data interpretation for inspection and certification.
