Quality Technician

About the role

The Quality Technician will provide independent evaluation of materials, components, products and work processes within Abbott's Quality System at the new manufacturing facility in Querétaro. The role supports engineering teams with validations, testing, troubleshooting and the development of methods to improve processes and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
• Inspect, measure and test raw materials, components, sub‑assemblies, packaging, labeling and related documentation.
• Verify and audit manufacturing processes, including line verification, to prevent quality system impact.
• Review batch records, non‑conformance reports and inspection records for compliance.
• Execute quality testing of samples with minimal guidance.
• Identify, segregate and quarantine non‑conforming material according to governing documents.
• Coordinate material handling with the Quality Engineer and manage in‑process non‑conformances.
• Propose and perform product acceptance testing, sampling, inspection, classification or disposal based on engineering disposition.
• Document all evidence in accordance with procedures and perform root‑cause analysis to generate corrective and preventive actions.
