Rebar Installer (Rodbuster) – Construction

About the role

Fisher Industries is seeking experienced Rodbusters to install and secure reinforcing steel for poured‑concrete structures. The role involves reading blueprints, cutting, bending, and tying rebar, while adhering to strict safety standards, especially in mountainous terrain.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and install reinforcing steel according to blueprints or oral instructions.
• Cut, bend, and shape rebar using hand and power tools.
• Tie steel pieces together with wire and clamps.
• Operate power tools safely to measure, cut, and shape steel.
• Monitor quality and safety of all rebar work.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Rodbuster or similar rebar installer.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
• Physically fit; able to lift at least 75 lb and work at heights.
• Experience working in mountainous terrain with steep grades.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
