Regional Buyer

About the role

The Regional Buyer will lead sourcing activities for new business awards and program launches across North and South America. Working closely with engineering, quality, supply chain and plant buying teams, the role ensures the procurement of materials, equipment and services while supporting cost‑reduction and cash‑flow initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and RFQ processes for commodities above the bid threshold, including quotation analysis and supplier selection.
• Negotiate pricing, capacity, commercial terms and long‑term agreements with suppliers.
• Develop and execute cost‑reduction projects such as Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) studies.
• Drive inventory reduction and cash‑flow improvement initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance, support audit compliance and ensure adherence to procurement policies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Plant Buyers, Program Purchasing) to guarantee successful project execution.
• Present sourcing recommendations, business case analyses and procurement strategies to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply management, preferably in automotive or home‑appliance industries.
• Proven track record managing the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, negotiations and supplier management.
• Experience working with suppliers and stakeholders in Mexico, the United States and Brazil.
• Fluent English (C1 level) and strong analytical mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodologies.
• Experience with Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects.
• Strategic negotiation and supplier strategy development.
