Regional Supply Chain Transport Planner

About the role

The Regional Supply Chain External Flows Professional – Planning Transport coordinates inbound and outbound cargo across road, sea and air for Mexico, the United States and Canada. Working within the TCC Transport Planning team, the role links plants logistics, projects, internal functions and external partners to ensure seamless transport order management, planning and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage transport orders, operational planning, booking and execution for international and domestic shipments.
• Collaborate with Plants Logistics, Projects & Programs Management, Tactical Planning, Service Support, Freight Audit and Performance & Quality teams.
• Coordinate with Logistics Partners, Regional Transport Purchasing, and Regional Customs teams.
• Maintain professional relationships with internal customers and transport service providers.
• Apply continuous‑improvement initiatives and monitor performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with cross‑border customs regulations, Carta Porte, C‑TPAT, OEA and other security programs.
• Work three‑shift schedule, including weekends, to support 24/7 transport operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3‑5 years of experience in automotive control towers or 4PL environments with hands‑on transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of Mexico, US and Canada transport markets, laws and regulations.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, familiar with North‑American business culture.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Transport Management System (TMS) and load‑planning tool proficiency.
• Advanced MS Excel and Outlook skills.
• Expertise in transport order management, operational planning and execution.
• In‑depth understanding of carriers operating models and freight forwarding (FIATA) processes.
• Knowledge of customs regulations, cross‑border procedures and security programs (C‑TPAT, OEA).
• Certification in logistics, freight forwarding (FIATA) or HAZMAT/DGR is a plus.
