Remote Accountant – Hospitality Focus

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support its portfolio of hospitality clients. This fully remote position serves Latin America and focuses on accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities for hotels and related properties.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting tasks, prepare journal entries, and support the month‑end close to meet strict client deadlines.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity by cleaning up, reconciling, and resolving account items.
• Quickly master specialized hospitality platforms, ERP tools, and reporting structures to ensure independent execution.
• Deliver consistent, accurate, and responsive client service in line with standardized processes.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property management, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close cycles.
• Familiarity with hotel operations, revenue cycles, and hospitality systems such as Opera or POS platforms is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to learn and work with Ottimate, Acumatica, and ProfitSword quickly.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with internal and client teams.
