Revenue Accountant

About the role

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its finance team. You will be responsible for preparing revenue accounting journal entries, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls, and supporting both internal and external reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly revenue accounting journal entries in line with US GAAP and company policies.
• Execute month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, including account reconciliations, bad‑debt reserve calculations, and revenue cut‑off procedures.
• Maintain SOX 404 controls and prepare related documentation.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders and assist the accounting manager with audit requests.
• Analyze accounts and revenue processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Support internal and external auditors during audit procedures.
• Participate in professional development initiatives and ad‑hoc projects as needed.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX 404.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
• Experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and results‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to seek guidance on unfamiliar tasks and communicate workload status.
