Sales Assistant – Support Sales Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Sales Assistant to provide strategic and operational support to the Sales Manager and the sales team at Springer Nature in Monterrey. The role ensures smooth coordination, accurate reporting, and high-quality service to help achieve commercial objectives in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, emails and messages from clients, schools, bookstores and distributors.
• Prepare, file and manage documents, contracts, quotations and reports.
• Draft commercial proposals and coordinate activities with internal departments.
• Generate Nexus reports and act as the communication bridge with external partners.
• Collect, review and record expense information for each regional zone.
• Organise vacation schedules for the commercial team.

Required profile

• Completed or near‑completed degree or technical qualification in marketing or a related field.
• Experience supporting a sales manager or sales team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information and prioritize problems.
• Service‑oriented, detail‑focused and proactive team player.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with CRM and sales management systems.
• Professional writing and correspondence handling.
• Administrative coordination and document control.
• Basic understanding of commercial or sales processes.
