SAP ABAP Consultant (Remote)

About the role

Syntax, a global Managed Cloud Provider, is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to design, develop, and support custom SAP solutions. The role is remote and focuses on delivering high‑quality ABAP code across multiple SAP modules for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Create custom solutions using Classical Reports, ALV Reports, Module Pool Programming, SmartForms, SAPScripts, and Adobe Forms.
• Implement enhancements via User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, and the Enhancement Framework.
• Develop interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData Services, and Web Services.
• Build and optimise CDS Views, AMDP, and ABAP on HANA developments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP development standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and knowledge‑transfer materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English (reading and writing).
