Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to support its rapidly growing portfolio of hospitality clients. The role is client‑facing and requires ownership of month‑end closes, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple properties.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, delivering accurate P&L and Balance Sheet statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Streamline balance‑sheet reconciliation and manage increasing volume as new clients are onboarded.
• Handle journal entries, financial reporting, and reconciliations for multiple properties or client accounts simultaneously.
• Utilize hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data and improve workflow efficiency.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and client service delivery.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with hospitality‑specific systems such as Opera, Sertifi, or Toast is highly desired.
• Familiarity with Acumatica, Ottimate, and ProfitSword is a major plus.
• Self‑starter with high accountability, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
