Senior Accountant

About the role

CoinFlip is seeking a CPA‑licensed Senior Accountant to own complex areas of its cryptocurrency accounting function across domestic and international operations. The role involves independent management of digital‑asset reconciliations, revenue accounting, intercompany eliminations and the financial close process.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly roll‑forwards for BTC, ETH, LTC and other digital assets.
• Reconcile wallet balances to blockchain data and internal sub‑ledgers, including hardware wallets such as Trezor and cold storage.
• Perform wallet data cleanup, validation, exception resolution and fair market value calculations for digital‑asset holdings.
• Support position checks and proof‑of‑reserves style reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile crypto donations, rewards and incentives.
• Own accounting and reconciliation of international digital‑asset operations.
• Lead audit support efforts and apply international accounting standards to foreign business units.
• Serve as a subject‑matter resource for junior staff and ensure compliance with money‑services‑business reporting obligations.

Required profile

• CPA license.
• Strong technical accounting judgment with experience in cryptocurrency or digital‑asset accounting.
• Ability to independently manage complex reconciliations and financial close processes.
• Experience supporting audits and applying GAAP and IFRS to multi‑jurisdictional entities.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of serving as a resource for junior accountants.
