Senior Accountant

About the role

Teamswell is seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to independently manage full‑cycle accounting engagements for multiple nonprofit and for‑profit clients. You will lead month‑end close, produce accurate financial reports, support audits, and act as a trusted financial advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for several client organizations.
• Lead month‑end close within 5‑7 business days, ensuring error rates below 2%.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and monthly financial statements with zero unresolved variances.
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, regulatory compliance and internal control enhancements.
• Maintain strong client relationships, respond to inquiries within 24 hours and meet all deadlines.
• Review and mentor Staff Accountants, fostering knowledge sharing across teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements to shorten close timelines and boost efficiency.
