Senior Accountant

About the role

Playlist is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead month‑end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting across its wellness‑technology platforms. You will partner with finance, FP&A and cross‑functional teams to improve processes, automate workflows and support audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close process, delivering timely and accurate financial results.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting analyses for balance‑sheet and income‑statement accounts.
• Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging data tools and automation to increase efficiency while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Support the preparation of internal reporting schedules, external financial statements and audit documentation.
• Collaborate with FP&A and other stakeholders to analyze variances and explain financial performance.
• Assist external auditors and maintain comprehensive documentation for key accounting areas.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives, including standardization and dashboard development.

Required profile

• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement fundamentals.
• Proven ownership of month‑end close processes with a track record of improving efficiency or accuracy.
• Detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines during close cycles.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• Experience with ERP systems
• Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools
• SQL for data extraction and analysis
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled automation tools
