Senior Accountant

About the role

KEMET de México, a global leader in multilayer ceramic capacitors, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its finance team at the Guadalupe plant. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate revenue accounting, month‑end closings, and compliance with international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accounting entries for sales, including external and intercompany transactions.
• Perform monthly consolidated sales reconciliations for the parent company and subsidiaries.
• Prepare and analyze sales accruals, rebates, returns, and quality‑related adjustments.
• Calculate deferred revenue adjustments and support revenue recognition under IFRS/US GAAP.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for revenue recognition, such as shipment cut‑off and contract compliance.
• Conduct month‑over‑month variance analysis and present explanations to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools like OneStream or Power BI.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
