Senior Accountant (Remote) for US Clients

About the role

MAVIMAVI is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations for US‑based clients. This fully remote, full‑time position offers high ownership and direct partnership with finance stakeholders across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Own general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and all reconciliations.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and account adjustments.
• Prepare and review financial reports for US stakeholders, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Investigate discrepancies, drive issues to resolution, and support audit preparation.
• Review work of junior accounting team members and coordinate with auditors and external partners.
• Improve accounting workflows, internal controls, SOPs, and documentation.
• Support ERP implementations, migrations, and related process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on accounting experience with strong GL, AP, AR, and close‑management expertise.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and experience with US‑based finance teams or clients.
• Proven ability to review junior work, communicate clearly in English (C1 level or higher), and work independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
• QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting platforms.
• Experience with ERP implementations or migrations.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
