Senior Accountant (US GAAP, International)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Mexico City. The role focuses on US GAAP compliance and international accounting, supporting accurate financial reporting and close processes in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities in accordance with US GAAP.
• Prepare, review and post journal entries, perform reconciliations and produce financial reports.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and global accounting policies.
• Coordinate with international teams on consolidation, intercompany transactions and reporting.
• Support external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and other international accounting standards.
• Proven experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
