Senior Accounting and Finance Consultant (Controller Level)

About the role

PROVE Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting and Finance Consultant to work remotely and support accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, and internal controls in a fast‑paced, globally distributed environment. The role operates at a Controller level, handling day‑to‑day accounting, close processes, cash reporting, budgeting, and cross‑functional coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate classification of all transactions.
• Oversee accounting functions for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, commissions, and fixed assets.
• Process payroll, commissions, AP, and debt payments accurately and on schedule.
• Support cash reporting, treasury activities, and budgeting initiatives.
• Collaborate with operational and finance stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance.

Required profile

• Significant experience in senior accounting or finance roles within healthcare finance, professional services, specialty finance, or receivables management.
• Proven ability to work independently in a rapidly evolving, high‑accountability environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills.
