Senior Associate – Indirect Tax (IICE)

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Acceleration Center in Mexico within the Tax practice. The role focuses on indirect taxes such as VAT, GST, and sales tax, providing strategic advice, compliance support, and technical expertise to a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on indirect tax planning, compliance, and optimization.
• Navigate complex VAT, GST, and sales‑tax regulations for client projects.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to develop client recommendations.
• Prepare and review VAT returns and other indirect tax filings.
• Assist with customs brokerage, valuation, and international tax matters.
• Leverage tax technology tools to improve preparation and reporting efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• At least a Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant tax experience.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
