Senior Associate – Indirect Tax (IICE)

About the role

PwC Mexico is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Indirect Tax (IICE) practice. You will work directly with clients on complex indirect tax matters, helping them navigate customs regulations, VAT compliance and international tax challenges while developing your technical expertise in a collaborative, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex indirect tax issues and design strategic solutions for client engagements.
• Manage workstreams related to customs regulations, tax dispute resolution and VAT returns.
• Conduct tax research, prepare documentation and support tax compliance and planning activities.
• Interpret customs tariffs and valuations to produce accurate tax models.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance corporate tax planning and international taxation strategies.
• Mentor junior team members on indirect tax controversies and VAT compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to address tax accounting and preparation needs.
• Leverage tax technology tools to optimise tax processes and improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant tax experience.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment (or equivalent professional credential).
• Fluent oral and written English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of indirect tax, VAT compliance and customs regulations.
• Experience with international taxation concepts.
• Analytical thinking applied to tax modelling and research.
