Senior BPA Analyst – Global R&D

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior BPA Analyst to support the Global R&D Finance team in Mexico City. You will own the creation, consolidation, and maintenance of financial reports and dashboards, providing variance analysis and insightful commentary.

Key responsibilities

• Support FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning.
• Drive improved management reporting and ensure accurate tracking of financial results.
• Maintain and enhance existing dashboards and reports, distilling key financial insights.
• Utilize financial systems such as ASPIRE and SAP for analysis and reporting.
• Identify, prioritize, and lead process‑improvement initiatives to create value.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and analyses as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related analytical discipline.
• At least five years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Excellent analytical ability and the capacity to synthesize complex information into clear messages.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to challenge the status quo.
• Team player comfortable interacting with all organizational levels and global counterparts.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial systems such as ASPIRE and SAP.
• Medium proficiency in data‑visualization and preparation tools like Alteryx and Tableau.
