Senior Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer will lead sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for goods and services that support plant operations, maintenance, and improvement. This role ensures cost‑effective procurement while maintaining high service quality and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities for facility‑related categories.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies.
• Run RFQs/RFPs and evaluate supplier proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, service‑level agreements (SLAs), and contract terms.
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal standards.
• Monitor contract performance and manage renewals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and resolve escalations.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and track procurement budgets.
• Analyze spend data and trends to inform strategy.
• Ensure vendors meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
• Mitigate procurement and operational risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sourcing and procurement for facility‑related categories.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
• Analytical mindset to evaluate spend data and identify savings.
• Knowledge of regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Capability to manage procurement budgets and monitor performance.
