Senior Director, Supply Chain Operations

About the role

The Senior Director, Supply Chain Operations will lead end‑to‑end supply chain activities for an automotive OEM plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Reporting to senior plant leadership, this role ensures production continuity, launch readiness and cost‑effective logistics in a high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct demand planning, supply planning, material control, inbound/outbound logistics, warehousing and customer fulfillment for the site and its network.
• Define and execute supply chain strategy to optimise inventory, improve service performance and maintain cost competitiveness.
• Lead S&OP / integrated business planning cadence, making trade‑off decisions across demand, supply, inventory and service.
• Oversee supplier and logistics performance, reducing shortages and enhancing delivery reliability.
• Drive KPI performance such as on‑time delivery, schedule adherence, inventory health, logistics cost and customer service metrics.
• Lead cross‑functional transformation projects focused on process standardisation, digital enablement and efficiency improvements.
• Manage the operational budget, supporting financial targets through disciplined inventory and working‑capital management.
• Support new vehicle and parts program launches by ensuring readiness of planning parameters, material flow and logistics routes.
• Build, lead and develop high‑performing planning, logistics and customer service teams.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in supply chain or logistics within the automotive industry.
• Strong track record of leading large, multicultural teams and delivering continuous‑improvement results.
• Executive‑level communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing complex supply networks, S&OP processes and operational budgets.

Required skills

• Expertise in end‑to‑end supply chain management, including planning, logistics and inventory control.
• Deep knowledge of S&OP / integrated business planning methodologies.
• Ability to drive digital transformation and process standardisation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
