Senior Field Service Engineer – Mexico (Remote)

About the role

Bloom Engineering is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to support its industrial combustion and heating customers across Mexico. The role serves as the primary regional technical authority and customer‑facing service representative, delivering commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and long‑term support for furnace and heating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onsite commissioning and advanced troubleshooting of industrial combustion equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on burners, furnaces and heat‑processing units.
• Provide long‑term technical support and write detailed service reports in English.
• Coordinate with U.S. engineering, sales and service teams to resolve complex issues.
• Travel up to 80 % of the time across Mexico and occasionally to the United States for training or overflow support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum five years of field service experience with industrial combustion or heating systems.
• At least two years of direct experience with Bloom Engineering equipment or similar.
• Demonstrated experience supporting industrial customers throughout Mexico.
• Valid driver’s license, TN Visa eligibility or ability to obtain one.
• Fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Fundamental combustion principles (air‑to‑fuel ratios, flammability limits, NOₓ formation, available heat).
• Knowledge of NFPA 86, NFPA 70E and OSHA 10‑Hour safety standards.
• PLC ladder‑logic troubleshooting and PID control system expertise.
• Calibration, configuration and analysis of mechanical and electrical instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with industrial burners, furnaces and heat‑processing equipment.
