Senior Hardware Design Engineer

About the role

Resideo is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of thermostats and other smart‑home IoT products. You will own the full New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle, from technology research and proof‑of‑concepts to high‑volume production launch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead schematic design, PCB layout, BOM release, prototype build, debugging, and engineering testing for NPI projects.
• Architect new electrical designs and provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with test design to perform validation, collect data, and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with global project leaders, suppliers, and manufacturing plants to deliver low‑cost, high‑quality solutions.
• Perform analog, digital, and RF design analysis, feasibility studies, and component selection.
• Manage engineering changes, release parts for production, and maintain complete documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in microcontroller and microprocessor hardware design.
• Strong background in analog circuit design, high‑speed digital, and basic RF concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, prototype building, and testing.
• Ability to lead NPI projects and work with global, cross‑functional teams.
• Senior‑level expertise with a track record of delivering products to mass production.
