Senior Inventory Accountant

About the role

The Global Senior Inventory Accountant joins Levi Strauss & Co.'s Global Inventory Team, supporting the largest line‑item on the company balance sheet. You will ensure accurate inventory valuation, drive process improvements, and partner with finance and operations across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries for in‑transit, duty, and ad‑hoc items.
• Calculate and monitor inventory reserves, including lower of cost or market (LCM) and shrink.
• Provide comprehensive reporting on inventory activity across stores and distribution centers.
• Complete general‑ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as the primary inventory accounting contact for finance and operations partners, supporting compliance and audit queries.
• Assist internal and external auditors with documentation and analysis.
• Lead or support process‑improvement projects using advanced analytics and AI.
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities across time zones.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, nested formulas).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Access.
• Experience with SAP Fiori.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), GT Nexus, and BlackLine.
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
