Senior IS Data Architect – Cloud & Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Senior IS Data Architect to join Nissan’s Mexico City team. The role focuses on designing secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient applications, driving digital transformation, and leading cloud migrations while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own architecture for multiple applications and provide design solutions for new projects.
• Collaborate with IS delivery leads and product owners to deliver technical solutions reviewed by the Enterprise Review Board.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security, legal, and design standards.
• Improve application security, performance, resiliency, scalability, automation, maintainability and cost efficiency.
• Lead digital transformation of legacy applications and cloud migrations from data‑center to AWS.
• Work with DevOps teams to provision infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide test automation, penetration testing, performance and chaos testing, and support production issue resolution.
• Provide direction to developers on secure coding standards and vulnerability remediation.
• Promote operational excellence through stable, supportable solutions and monitoring tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
• 5‑7+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in architecture.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing web or mobile front‑end applications (Angular, React, Swift, Kotlin).
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing back‑end APIs/micro‑services (Node.js, Python, Java).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• AWS certification is a plus.
