Senior Manager Accounting

About the role

The Senior Manager Accounting will lead the monthly financial close for Kontoor Brands' Mexico City operation, which includes the Wrangler® brand. This role ensures accurate, timely reporting to the corporate office while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly financial close process and prepare accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, focusing on high‑risk accounts such as bad‑debt reserves, inventory, AP, accruals, and refund liabilities.
• Execute monthly account reconciliations and enforce SOX‑compliant internal controls.
• Collaborate with Corporate Treasury on local cash management, accounts payable, and customer accounting.
• Act as the legal representative for tax, audit, and statutory regulatory compliance.
• Coach and develop junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• College degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required).
• 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is a plus.
• Demonstrated integrity, proactive decision‑making, and leadership capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and formula creation.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA (preferred).
