Senior Procurement Specialist – Logistics (Analytics & Sourcing)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead analytics and sourcing for logistics within its Global Warehousing & Transportation team. Based in Mexico City with a hybrid work model, you will drive data‑driven decisions across transportation categories and support strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end transportation sourcing (road, ocean, air, parcel) aligned with global category strategy.
• Lead post‑RFP analysis, evaluate carriers, lanes and modes, and translate results into fact‑based sourcing recommendations.
• Develop scenario models and conduct what‑if analyses to inform negotiation strategies and volume shifts.
• Assist supplier negotiations with data‑backed insights and analyze rate structures and contract terms.
• Analyze transportation spend, lane utilization and carrier KPIs; maintain dashboards and reporting for category performance.
• Partner with Category Managers and regional stakeholders, presenting analytical findings to leadership.
• Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements to data processes and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in procurement, analytics or logistics sourcing.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
