Senior Production Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

Airswift is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to join a drilling services client in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. The role focuses on maximizing hydrocarbon recovery while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise well configurations, selecting appropriate termination and artificial lift methods such as subsurface pumps or gas lift.
• Monitor real‑time well production, adjusting parameters to optimise rates and minimise operating costs.
• Design water, gas or chemical injection systems to maintain reservoir pressure and prevent issues like water coning or formation collapse.
• Supervise well operations, making decisions to sustain safe and efficient production.
• Implement continuous monitoring and maintenance programmes to maximise equipment availability.
• Analyse operational data, propose performance improvements, and prepare technical reports for management.

Required profile

• University degree in Petroleum Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive offshore experience in oil and gas production.
• Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering principles, wellbore characterisation and artificial lift system design.
