Senior Production Monitoring & Optimization Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Production Monitoring & Optimization Engineer to lead real‑time surveillance of oil and gas assets. The role blends engineering expertise with digital production management systems to maximize output, improve asset performance, and support operational decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time production data, well performance and facility operations using digital surveillance platforms.
• Identify production anomalies, performance degradation, losses and operational risks through continuous asset surveillance.
• Conduct well diagnostics, root‑cause analyses and troubleshooting to support operational decisions.
• Generate recommendations to improve production efficiency, increase asset uptime and minimize deferred production.
• Support optimization of artificial lift systems, production systems and surface facilities.
• Develop and maintain production dashboards, KPI tracking tools and performance reporting systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Production Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and Asset Management.
• Promote excellence in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), quality and compliance with company and customer requirements.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineering experience in production monitoring or optimization within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to diagnose complex production issues.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across production, reservoir, operations and asset management teams.
• Commitment to HSE best practices and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with digital surveillance platforms such as Lucipa™, CygNet, PI System, OFM and Production Link.
• Proficiency in developing production dashboards and KPI tracking tools.
• Knowledge of artificial lift optimization and surface facility performance.
• Strong data‑analysis and reporting capabilities.
