Senior Project Engineer – Industrial Engineering

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer will lead the implementation of manufacturing processes and continuous‑improvement projects at Kohler’s Juarez plant. Reporting to the Project Specialist/CIC, you will focus on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and lowering costs while ensuring safe and ergonomic work conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive cycle‑time, worker‑effort, and inventory reduction initiatives using the 7 waste reduction forms.
• Analyze work‑area conditions (space, layout, lighting, tools) and update standard times and Standard Work studies.
• Support time studies, weight measurements (slip, glaze, fired, pack) and cost calculations for both plants.
• Participate in KOS events, maintain Layered Process Audits, and report monthly savings.
• Provide structural‑fabrication support to improve productivity, safety, and quality.
• Conduct 5S audits and ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety responsibilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred).
• Approximately five years of experience managing lean‑manufacturing projects.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
