Senior Project Manager – New Product Introduction (NPI)

About the role

The Lead NPI Engineer drives the successful launch of new electronic products, acting as the technical bridge between design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and external suppliers. This senior position ensures products reach full‑scale production on schedule, within cost targets, and meet performance and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all NPI activities from prototype through mass production for electronic products.
• Own the technical transfer from R&D to Manufacturing and coordinate cross‑functional teams (Design, Quality, IE, Supply Chain, Test, Operations).
• Develop and execute NPI project plans, schedules, risk mitigation and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Drive DFM, DFA and DFT reviews, manage prototype builds, pilot runs and ramp‑to‑production.
• Define and validate manufacturing processes, test strategies, fixtures and tooling.
• Lead BOM reviews, process FMEAs, control plans and work instructions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Identify and resolve yield, quality and reliability issues during builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or NPI roles.
• Proven track record of leading high‑volume or complex product launches.
• Strong project‑management and cross‑functional leadership abilities.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
