Senior Receptionist

About the role

The Senior Receptionist will be the face of our luxury shipboard hospitality operation, delivering exceptional guest service at the front desk. This senior position oversees daily reception activities, coordinates guest requests, and ensures seamless communication between guest relations, finance, and shore concierge teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level guest service and act as the primary point of contact at the reception desk.
• Supervise day‑to‑day reception operations and manage the reception team schedule.
• Coordinate and fulfill guest needs, enquiries, and complaints promptly and to satisfaction.
• Maintain continuous communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments.
• Facilitate smooth information flow between shore concierge, finance, and reception teams.
• Perform embarkation and debarkation duties as required.
• Assist with regular inventories of guest‑relations equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a front‑desk or receptionist role at an international 5‑star or luxury establishment.
• Fluent written and spoken English; conversational proficiency in at least two additional languages (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin).
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a sincere, hospitality‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using the Fidelio hotel management system.
