Senior Software Developer – Enterprise Applications

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to design, build, and support enterprise‑grade applications, integrations, and AI‑enabled solutions for our Mexico City office. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise across Java/J2EE, modern web frameworks, backend services, databases, workflow orchestration, and Generative AI technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications and backend services using Java/J2EE and modern frameworks.
• Build full‑stack solutions, including backend APIs, integration layers, and user‑facing UI components.
• Develop workflow‑driven applications and business process automation solutions.
• Design and implement RESTful services and system integrations across enterprise platforms.
• Contribute to AI‑powered and GenAI‑assisted features that solve business problems.
• Create and support ETL‑based integration solutions with Informatica Cloud (IICS), handling data ingestion, transformation, validation, and error handling.
• Collaborate with business partners, analysts, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, architecture reviews, and sprint planning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex development and production issues with scalable fixes.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Full‑time onsite work in Mexico City (5 days per week).
• Ability to operate autonomously on moderately to highly complex problems.
• Strong collaboration skills with architects, staff engineers, and business partners.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.

Required skills

• Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring framework.
• Node.js, Express.js (Grails is a plus).
• Angular or similar TypeScript‑based frontend framework.
• RESTful API design and implementation.
• SQL and relational database expertise.
• Informatica Cloud (IICS) and ETL processes.
• Generative AI / AI‑enabled application development.
• Workflow orchestration and business process automation.
