Senior Software Engineer I (Mexico City)

About the role

We are looking for a collaborative Senior Software Engineer I to design, build, and improve cross‑functional software solutions for LexisNexis Legal & Professional. You will translate complex product needs into scalable, high‑quality systems while mentoring less‑senior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Design and develop software components across multiple systems using Angular and C#.
• Review code and specifications to ensure quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Resolve complex bugs and performance issues.
• Apply best practices in coding, testing (including test‑driven development), and development processes.
• Work in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and tools.
• Support and mentor junior developers.
• Design and manage data models for scalable applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Angular and C#.
• Familiarity with data modeling and optimization techniques.
• Experience with test‑driven development and modern development tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Based in Mexico City or willing to commute two days per week to the Reforma office.
