Senior Specialist, Acquiring & Clearing Operations

About the role

Mastercard is expanding its Clearinghouse capabilities in Mexico and seeks a Senior Specialist to design, implement, and operate the Acquirer Clearinghouse model. You will ensure secure, resilient, and scalable payment infrastructure while collaborating with a broad ecosystem of acquiring institutions, processors, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational readiness, implementation, and ongoing support for Mastercard’s Acquirer Clearinghouse in Mexico.
• Manage end‑to‑end clearing and settlement processes, including file validation, balance reconciliation, and exception handling.
• Partner with acquiring institutions, clearing participants, Network Operations, and technology teams to ensure operational resilience and continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain the operational framework, governance, and service‑level standards for the clearinghouse.

Required profile

• Deep operational knowledge of acquiring processes, clearing and settlement, and payment ecosystem interactions.
• Experience working with payment networks, processors, and clearing participants.
• Strong understanding of operational governance and risk management in payments.
