Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

The Senior Tax Analyst will support McCormick's tax function by ensuring accurate compliance with federal, state and multi‑jurisdictional tax requirements. This hybrid position (60% onsite, 40% remote) is based in Interlomas, Mexico, and involves close collaboration with both local and global finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal and multi‑state tax returns, including income tax, VAT and withholding tax.
• Manage VAT refunds, provisional income tax payments and tax payments related to foreign transactions.
• Conduct quarterly and year‑end financial analysis (FAS 109) and support tax audits.
• Perform effective tax rate analysis and contribute to tax planning projects.
• Maintain tax work papers and ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley and local tax authority regulations.
• Research, analyze and document tax issues, providing recommendations to senior finance leadership.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to local and global teams.
• Support the tax team on ad‑hoc projects and VAT‑related inquiries.

Required profile

• Experience with multi‑jurisdictional tax compliance.
• Good understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations.
• Proactive communication of tax law changes to stakeholders.
