Site Finance Controller – Medium Site

About the role

The Site Finance Controller is the primary manager for all financial matters at a medium‑size GKN Aerospace site. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager and partnering closely with the Site Leader, this role ensures the integrity of financial data, supports strategic decision‑making, and safeguards compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the site leader and business lines to provide insight into financial performance, budgeting and strategy.
• Maintain robust transactional processing, governance, and reporting for P&L, balance sheet and cash.
• Develop and maintain costing and reporting systems for management and statutory needs.
• Manage capital appropriations, ensuring budgeting, authorization and value delivery.
• Ensure financial systems, controls and delegated authorities comply with national regulations and GKN policies.
• Coordinate tax and duty compliance in conjunction with GKN Tax.
• Own the site Enterprise Risk Management process and drive risk mitigation actions.
• Support compliance with defence‑related regulations such as export control, ITAR, DFARS and anti‑bribery legislation.
• Develop the finance team, ensuring appropriate skill levels and career development plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site‑level finance management or a similar senior finance role.
• Strong business partnering and corporate governance capabilities.
• Experience with capital budgeting, tax compliance and enterprise risk management.
• Familiarity with defence industry regulations (export control, ITAR, DFARS, anti‑bribery).
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team.
