Site Financial Controller – Automotive Plant

About the role

The Site Financial Controller is the financial voice of the León plant, responsible for owning the numbers, challenging assumptions and turning data into actionable insights for the Plant Manager and operational teams. Working within a Tier‑1 automotive group, the role ensures profitability, supports cost, productivity and investment decisions, and guarantees transparent and reliable financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full plant P&L, prepare and analyse monthly results, variances versus budget and forecast, and communicate clear explanations.
• Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs (conversion cost per unit, labor productivity, material variances, scrap, overhead absorption) and lead regular performance reviews.
• Coordinate the annual budget and periodic forecasts, challenge operational assumptions and align with regional and group targets.
• Support the Plant Manager in defining and tracking cost‑reduction and productivity plans, providing early warnings and corrective action proposals.
• Manage and update standard costs, analyse gaps between standard and actual costs, and ensure accurate overhead allocation according to group rules.
• Provide financial analysis for new business opportunities, RFQs, margin simulations and break‑even studies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant financial controlling or industrial finance, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret variances and drive performance improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with plant management and regional finance teams.
• Ability to work autonomously on budgeting, forecasting and cost‑accounting tasks.
