Site Financial Controller – Manufacturing (Nogales, MX)

About the role

We are seeking a Site Financial Controller to lead all financial activities at our Nogales plant, a key location for aviation interior manufacturing. You will ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with both US and Mexican regulations while partnering with operations to drive cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting records, monthly close, statutory and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX, Mexican tax (IMMEX, ISR, VAT) and local statutory requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial planning.
• Manage cost accounting, inventory controls, fixed assets, standard costing and payroll processes.
• Supervise treasury, accounts payable, tax, and internal control functions.
• Coordinate internal, external, statutory and tax audits.
• Develop and communicate accounting policies, procedures and system controls.
• Partner with operations to identify cost‑saving and profitability opportunities.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and development for the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 7‑10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a maquiladora or manufacturing environment with strong cost‑accounting exposure.
• Proven experience managing SOX compliance and internal‑control processes.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
