Software Engineer – Embedded Controls (Monterrey)

About the role

John Deere is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Product Engineering team in Monterrey. You will design and develop embedded software controls for engine systems, contributing to the company’s innovative agricultural and industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain embedded software for engine controls.
• Participate in requirements capture, analysis, design, debugging, hardware integration, verification, validation, and documentation.
• Collaborate daily with the Software Supervisor, Manager, Product Owner, Delivery Leads, and other developers using Agile methodology.
• Attend Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Monitor team performance metrics and provide continuous, structured feedback.
• Manage personal workload efficiently to deliver high‑quality results.

Required profile

• Experience with traditional and modern software development tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of embedded software technology.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
