Software Engineer – Finance Planning & Analytics (FPA)

About the role

This position joins the Finance Planning & Analytics (FPA) Function Controlling team to accelerate digital transformation. As the primary technical expert, you will turn business requirements from Product Owners into scalable, full‑stack software solutions that support internal finance tools and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and extend the core internal web application that automates finance controlling processes.
• Translate open‑ended business requirements into rapid proofs of concept and deliver robust, scalable solutions in an agile environment.
• Write, test, and maintain high‑quality code while ensuring future‑proof architecture.
• Champion automation and AI initiatives where appropriate, balancing benefits and limitations.
• Act as a technical sparring partner for Product and Process Owners, clarifying business problems before development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert general requirements into concrete technical solutions and user stories.
• Participate in workshops, shape engineering standards, and guide the technical direction of the product.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, cybersecurity, data protection, and IT audit requirements.
• Support deployment, debugging, and enhancements; manage source code and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer solving moderately complex problems.
• Experience working in large, governed corporate environments with exposure to compliance, audit, and change management.
• Familiarity with finance, accounting, or FP&A processes is highly desirable.
