Software Engineer I – C# .NET

About the role

As a Software Engineer I you will join McDonald’s Global Technology team in Mexico City, contributing to the development and modernization of the company’s customer feedback and support platform. Working alongside senior engineers you will build secure, scalable and maintainable software solutions that serve millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using C# and the .NET ecosystem.
• Implement new features, enhancements and bug fixes under senior guidance.
• Design, build and support RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Maintain legacy applications on .NET Framework 4.8 and ASP.NET MVC while contributing to migration to modern .NET (8/10).
• Write clean, well‑tested code following engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot application issues and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA engineers, architects and global development teams.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

Required skills

• C# programming language.
• .NET ecosystem (including .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET MVC.NET 8/10).
