Software Engineer II - Finance Data & Experiences

About the role

Join Microsoft’s Finance Data & Experiences (FD&E) team to help shape how the company measures, monitors, and optimizes its $250B+ business portfolio. You will work on AI‑driven, cloud‑based solutions that impact Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Product Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and operate scalable cloud‑based data, analytics, automation, and tooling solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities such as Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, and machine‑learning models.
• Apply engineering best practices to deliver high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Own solutions end‑to‑end, from design through implementation and operations.
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting for proactive issue detection.
• Use telemetry and usage analytics to guide product decisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated, customer‑focused experiences.
• Contribute technical feedback to evolve Microsoft’s data platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms is preferred.
