Software Engineer (PHP, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, React)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Software Engineer to join our engineering team in a hybrid setting (Hermosillo or Mexico City). The role focuses on full‑stack development, cloud‑native solutions, and building scalable web architectures using modern technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance full‑stack applications.
• Lead architecture and implementation of modern web platforms and backend services.
• Build responsive front‑end applications with React and Next.js.
• Create robust backend services and APIs using Node.js, NestJS, PHP, and Laravel.
• Drive WordPress initiatives, including custom themes, plugins, and integrations.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Design teams to deliver business solutions.
• Conduct technical discussions, code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices.
• Optimize applications for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Contribute to AWS infrastructure, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel development.
• Advanced experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and NestJS.
• Proven front‑end development skills using React.
• Extensive experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, ECS).
• Experience designing scalable RESTful APIs and micro‑services.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, scalability, security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerised environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.
