Software Engineering Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineering Lead to drive the design and delivery of innovative legal‑technology solutions for LexisNexis Legal & Professional. Based in Mexico City, you will combine hands‑on coding with team mentorship to shape products used by professionals worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the team, troubleshooting complex issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into robust software designs.
• Write, review and maintain code for moderately complex systems, ensuring high quality through code reviews and testing.
• Guide Agile (Scrum/Kanban) processes, manage sprint planning and delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers, support their growth and conduct performance feedback.
• Lead hiring, onboarding and continuous learning initiatives for the team.
• Design and maintain complex data models and oversee their implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Residency in Mexico City with availability to work onsite two days per week.
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional software teams.
• Strong problem‑solving, planning and communication skills.

Required skills

• .NET/C# development.
• Angular front‑end framework.
• Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD).
• Design and implementation of complex data models.
