Solution Architect – Global Modernization (Application Modernization)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Solution Architect with deep expertise in agentic AI systems to join our Global Modernization team. In this client‑facing position you will translate emerging AI capabilities into concrete enterprise solutions, lead discovery workshops, deliver demos, and produce actionable project estimates and roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client discovery sessions and AI readiness assessments to identify high‑impact use cases.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into structured technical architectures and implementation roadmaps.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding strategic adoption of agentic AI.
• Design and deliver live, interactive demos using the Kyndryl Agentic Framework (KAF).
• Build and maintain proof‑of‑concepts and reference implementations that demonstrate business value.
• Define integration patterns for connecting AI agents to enterprise systems such as CRMs, ERPs, APIs, and data lakes.
• Produce detailed project estimates, Statements of Work, and technical proposal sections.
• Collaborate with sales, consulting, and legal teams to structure technically sound engagements.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, or technical consulting.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience building LLM‑powered or agentic AI applications in production.
• Proven track record in a client‑facing advisory or pre‑sales architecture role.
• Deep expertise with at least one agentic framework (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel).

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js is a plus.
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, and Chroma.
• Knowledge of embedding pipelines and LLM integration.
