Sourcing Logistics Senior Consultant

About the role

Chain IQ is looking for a Senior Consultant to lead sourcing initiatives for transport and warehousing. You will shape sourcing strategies, work with cross‑functional teams, and turn large data sets into actionable insights that drive cost savings and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for transport and warehousing, focusing on optimization and sustainability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align logistical needs with broader business objectives and drive project implementation.
• Cleanse, transform, and structure large datasets to support sourcing decisions.
• Design and run sourcing events (RFx), including e‑Auctions.
• Analyse market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in logistics sourcing or a related logistics role.
• Strong understanding of transport‑warehouse operations, cost models and sustainable solutions.
• Proven negotiation track record and ability to secure favourable terms.
• Experience turning complex datasets into actionable information and improving data processes.
• Comfortable working in a global environment with knowledge of EMEA, Americas and APAC markets.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; additional European language is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to supplier sites and distribution centres as needed.
