Specialist, Supply Chain Management

About the role

The Specialist, Supply Chain Management supports the execution and continuity of Carrier's supply chain by managing commodities, coordinating sourcing activities, and ensuring material availability for production and customer demand. The role directly influences operational performance through Transfer of Work initiatives, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support Transfer of Work (TOW) activities and sourcing initiatives with contract manufacturers.
• Plan, procure, and expedite assigned commodities to meet production and sales schedules.
• Collaborate with Sales, Scheduling, Production, Customer Service, Quality, Sourcing, Finance, Shipping/Receiving, and Engineering to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels through accurate purchase orders and schedule agreements.
• Analyze MRP and SAP data, generate reports, and perform root‑cause analysis for inventory targets and supplier performance.
• Resolve Accounts Payable issues to guarantee timely supplier payments.
• Manage supplier quality issues, coordinate returns, and drive corrective actions for non‑conforming materials.
• Assist management with projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in buying, materials planning, or related supply‑chain roles, with exposure to Accounts Payable.
• Strong experience with MRP systems and inventory management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with MRP systems.
